Is being a night owl making you fat?

May 5, 2011

In new findings published in Obesity, people who hit the sack late tend to:

  • consume 248 more calories a day
  • eat fewer fruits and veggies and more fast food
  • drink more soft drinks
  • all of which can lead to gaining an extra two lbs per month

(Being a late sleeper in this study meant your midpoint of sleep came after 5:30AM btw).

Yikes. Guess who’s going to bed earlier starting tonight!
