Fitness Swellness: Nike Studio Wrap Pack

February 6, 2014

Studio Wrap group shot

Launched at the end of 2013, the Nike Studio Wrap Pack. For Spring 2014, the design has been tweaked to improve on the support and design of the “better than barefoot” experience of these shoes created for workouts typically done barefoot (such as yoga, barre and dance).

There are three parts to it: a ribbon that you tie on first under the arch and around your ankles for extra support, the Studio Wrap itself (which is made of a stretchy thin foam) and a flat, which is what you pop on over the Wrap to get to and from class. (The Pack costs $130 on nike.com, and just the Wraps are $50–in Canada, I believe you can buy them at Nike stores and other sporting good retailers.)

I finally tested them out today, and based on one class, so far I love the traction they provide and there’s the added hygienic bonus on not having to walk and work out barefoot in the studio.

And, well, they’re so darn pretty — so much so I may finally go to the barre classes I’ve been slacking on.

(Yes, it’s photos of my feet. Deal with it. (But really, I’m sorry! I’m not fond of feet photos either)

Do you see any reason why I couldn’t purchase the foot wrap and a fabric ribbon instead of the pack? The wraps and shoes look amazing but the price for the ribbon is high. Thanks for your post!
