Geez, dieters just can’t catch a break, eh?

Dieting is hard. But say you finally shed the extra weight, studies show that the odds are stacked against you keeping off those lbs. And back onto a diet you go. 

And now there’s new research from the Journal of Neuroscience that shows that there may be lasting health implications of yo-yo dieting. Get this: yo-yo dieting may set you up to be even more vulnerable to putting on weight. The study, which was conducted on mice, shows that dieting may reprogram how you react to the stress and affect your emotional drive for food.
