Think of this and eat less

Perhaps it’s macarons. Or cheese gougeres.

I know those are my weaknesses–in fact, if they’re both on offer then I’m in trouble, alternating between salty and sweet. I’m talking about the foods at holiday parties that I just can’t stop eating.

Now here’s a trick you can try that may help you stop popping them into your mouth: if you picture yourself eating the food over and over again, it may reduce your craving for it. This “think-yourself-thin” visualization strategy was shown to work in a Carnegie Mellon University study.
