The Weekly Nail Report

April 1, 2011

In May I’m running the Goodlife Toronto Half-Marathon. What’s that got to do with my nails? I’ve been contemplating what manicure I should have for my race–I’m thinking something bright and flashy, although I’ll be running so fast no one will really catch more than a glimpse of it 🙂 (Kidding. I’m not very fast.)

So I’ve started looking at shade names that’d be race-appropriate. Hey, I’ll take any bit of motivation I can get when plodding my way through 21.1k.

It goes without saying that I’ll be using Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed Ultra Quick Dry Top Coat. As for some of the colours I thought might inspire me run like the wind:

Butter London in British Racing Green.

Essie in No Boundaries. (I’ll think of this when huffing and puffing up those hills.)

Essie in Clutch Me If You Can. (My message to all the peeps behind me 🙂

OPI in Bring on the Bling. (After all, it’s all about getting a medal at the finish line, right?)

Revlon in All Fired Up.

OPI in Charged Up Cherry.

So many great choices. Guess I’ll just have to run more races.(gulp)

[…] After the teal shade I sported for my 8k race last weekend, I wanted something a little dull. (BTW, as I trudged up a difficult hill in my race, I actually thought to myself “No Boundaries&#8221… Oh, and in case you were wondering, I haven’t yet chosen a shade for my half-marathon in […]
