That’s the balm

February 1, 2011

I’m always on the hunt for the ultimate lip balm. Here are some of my new faves and how they can all fit into your beauty regime.

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 (I’m partial to the Grapefruit & Ginger flavour): Incredible fresh scent and fantastic conditioning properties (it’s got shea butter and avocado oil in it). Best for: Slathering on before bedtime. Also great for your winter sports given the high SPF. Available at Holt Renfrew.

Cover Girl Nature Luxe Gloss Balm: Love the more intense but natural-looking colour this balm offers, and the light-feeling hydration derived from mango butter. Best for: When you’re traveling–keeps your lips from drying out and you can apply it pretty easily on a plane without a mirror. Now you can walk off the runway looking polished refreshed.

Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm: Very sheer colour in the hydrating lip balm we all already know and love. Best for: your workouts as it gives your lips a slight flush without making you look too made up.

Ack — I can’t find my press release and didn’t have time to hunt for it and wanted to post this morning — I believe it’s either $12 or $15.

Have you tried the Lipsmackers line with fruits? like Acai berry and pear.. I picked one up from Rexall the other week – they are having 30% off on all lip products
