For glowing skin in a jiffy, eat your fruits & veggies

I falter in getting enough veggies in my diet, but appealing to my vain side is one way to make it much more enticing:

Eating  more fruits and veggies can improve your skin tone and give you more glowing skin in just six weeks, says new research from the University of St. Andrews. This is thanks to the carotenoids (those orange-y red pigments) found in fruits and veg.

Visible results in just six weeks says their findings published in the American Journal for Public Health.

Excuse me for a moment, I need to make a trip to the produce aisle right now.

Silky smooth

Silk’s a fabric with health benefits, according to new research conducted at the University of Bologna. Underwear made of silk was shown to help relieve the symptoms of thrush (the fungal infection that can cause itching and redness down there). The panties, made of medical-grade silk that also contains an antimicrobial agent, helped reduce the moist conditions candida albicans (the yeast that causes thrush) thrives in.

And in a past study, silk was shown to have potential antiaging properties by helping to form a barrier layer on the skin, thereby potentially plumping the skin and reducing the appearance fine lines.

All this to say I’m pretty sure this gives me a valid reason for ordering this silk Yumi Kim romper. 🙂
