The Weekly Nail Report — Part Deux

You didn’t think I’d skip doing my toes for the half-marathon, didja? Besides, I’m taking it easy today and resting up for my race, which gave me time to pretty up my toes.

Nail-job craving: For my toes, even though they’ll be covered up in my sneakers, I wanted something cheerful and inspirational, so I wanted one with a name that evoked how I want to feel during my race.

How I satisified that craving: Essie in Too Too Hot.

How this nail colour makes me feel: I’m hoping it inspires a hot streak so I can sprint to the finish line.

Love it or hate it: Love. Besides the name, it’s a fantastic shade of red.

The Weekly Nail Report

Nail-job craving: Something to complement match the blueish-purple bruise on my knee–half kidding. (I tripped and fell during a run this weekend and banged up my knee and strained my shoulder.)

How I satisfied that craving: Essie in Smooth Sailing.

How this nail colour makes me feel: Chosen more for it’s name than anything else–I really need my knee to recuperate in time for my half-marathon on Sunday, so fingers crossed this week is indeed smooth sailing.

Love it or hate it: Love–because the soothing shade is helping me not panic about my knee.

The Weekly Nail Report

Nail-job craving: It’s all about super bright neons, baby.

How I satisfied that craving: China Glaze in Pool Party, a hot neon pink. Once on, it had more orange in it than I expected (not complaining, though, given my current orange crush).

How this nail colour makes me feel: Like jetting down to South Beach. Or at least strutting around town in my summer sandals. (Hellooo, summer, we’re ready for you over here…we’ll even settle for spring weather, damn it!)

Love it or hate it: Love. In fact, I may need to get the whole China Glaze neon collection.
