Rush hour

July 26, 2010

Are you one of those people who get up the moment your alarm clock goes off? Or one of those peeps who don’t even need an alarm clock to wake up on time, your internal clock wakes you up just at the right moment? How very annoying of you, you perky morning bird you.

Kidding (well, kinda sorta)–I’m just jealous. If you hadn’t guessed, I’m one of those let’s-keep-hitting-snooze-until-the-alarm-just-stops-cuz-it’s-been-like-an-hour-already kind of girls. Or, even worse, sometimes I just sleep through the alarm entirely.

Yes, I do adore my slumber. But when I finally get up and realize just how late it is and how I’ve got all of 10 minutes to get out the door and fall into that panicky OMG mode that sets the tone for the entire day, I regret every second I spent sleeping instead of getting up like a proper punctual person would have.

So I’m all over anything that’ll help me shave time off getting ready on these rushed days. Like Marc Anthony 2nd Day Revitalizer ($11.99). You spray it onto your dry hair and its formula (which contains antioxidants, brown rice protein and honeyquat) works on dealing with frizz and dryness, prevents colour fading, and boosts colour and shine. It also helps remove odour (helpful if you were enjoying cocktails on a smokey outdoor patio the night before).

The benefit I most appreciated, though, when I overslept this weekend? How it helped keep my fine locks from becoming a limp mess of greasiness that day (the typical result when I’m forced to skip a morning shampoo).

Yes, I am very grateful that now late birds can now have decent hair, too.

Whoops, forgot to mention that step! Yes, you have to restyle!
