Ob tampons are in demand

January 20, 2011

If you’ve got a box or two (or a supply of 100–that’d be those of you who shop at Costco) of Ob tampons you may want to put them up on eBay. It seems there’s a shortage of them on shelves in the US (not sure if Canada’s affected, too?) and bids as high as $76 have been seen on eBay. Now that’s some brand loyalty!

(I’m pretty curious about the reason for this shortage–company reps are being vague).

(And if only I’d heard about this sooner–I could’ve brought a suitcase full of Ob to NYC today to hawk on the street)

Would you pay $76 for your favourite tampon? Do you even have a favourite tampon?

LOVE OB! I don’t think I have a brand loyalty like I have with ob. Have used and appreciated for years. They work better than any other I have tried and so compact. They slip one in a small front pocket when going clubbing.
And they don’t irritate or cause problems like others.
Both my daughters love them also.

Ob was my first tampon brand but I just couldn’t handle the lack of the applicator on them. so messy and unhygenic. however I’m very loyal to Always brand (using them them for 16 years I think!?) so I’d go as far for them :)

OB is the only one for me. No other tampon gives me the same reliability I need. It’s the only tampon I’ve used since I was 14, unless I’m out and don’t have any and have to take from a friend. Sux when that happens lol
