Make it a quickie

Besides the time leading up to a vacation being the most happy time, it seems that taking frequent short vacations rather than a longer holiday once a year, for example, makes you happier, too. (Show this research to that boss of yours who frowns upon your short vacation requests!). It appears that your excitement wanes over the duration of your vacay–so that mojito you’re sipping by the ocean on day 10 just isn’t as enjoyable as the few you’d have had during a three-day getaway.
