Glow on, girlfriend

August 12, 2010

So perhaps there’s more to me liking running outdoors–even in the drippiest summer humidity (and I hate to sweat) and in winter weather so c-c-cold my thighs go numb and tingly and my water bottle freezes up–than merely finding treadmill training a tad boring. According to this study, jogging in a park boosts energy and lifts your mood more than doing the same jog on a treadmill.

On an evening run recently, I unexpectedly found myself running in the dark–something I tend to avoid for safety’s sake–didn’t realize the sun’s setting way earlier already, sigh.

On the bright side, I am loving Stella McCartney for Adidas’ Glow in the Dark running gear. I’ll sport these glowing leopard spots in sleek, form-fitting pieces over those those ubiquitous running jackets everyone insists on wearing in a size five times too large with the diagonal stripes across the butt.

And who knows, maybe leopard detailing will help make you as speedy as one.
