Get more efficient muscles

Eat a serving of beets or spinach for three days and your muscles may become more efficient. It’s the inorganic nitrate in these veggies that help your muscles perform better (thanks to the mitochondria becoming more efficient), says a new study in Cell Metabolism

(Which reminds me that I haven’t tried all of these spinach recipes yet–although I’m thinking a spinach soup is more fitting for today’s snowy weather–this one sounds yummy.)
