Slow down your eating and you’ll eat less

Some new studies are providing more proof that the rate at which you eat affects how much food you consume  including insights such as men eat faster than women, heavier people eat faster than slimmer people and this finding that particularly caught my attention:

People eat refined grains faster than they eat whole grains (the whole grains are more fibrous so you have to chew more).

Not sure why I find that interesting–maybe just looking for more reasons to completely switch over to whole grains myself.

(oh, and in case it’s not clear — the faster you eat, the more you consume)
