Cycling chic

Bicycling may be what you need to control your weight, ladies, says a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Walking helps, too, but only if you’re going at a brisk pace.

P.S. Kinda wishing I had a valid reason to ditch my current bike helmets so I could replace it with this super cute, Missoni-esque one from Nutcase.

Location, location, location

Where’s the closest grocery store; how functional is the home’s layout; how safe is the ‘hood; and, of course, how much closet space there is.

All things you consider when you’re in the market for a new space to call home.

Walk n’ Play app

I’ve been contemplating a new cell phone for ages and ages and am leaning towards an iPhone (the main thing holding me back is how slowly I anticipate I’ll be typing on the touch screen, which is making me think a BlackBerry is the way to go — I am very impatient…).

This new Mayo Clinic-developed Walk n’ Play app, though, that I just read about on Best Health, does tip the scale in favour of the iPhone.

That app and SmackTalk — gotta have it.
