Nail craving: I’ve been in need of wee bit of sparkle as this polar vortex weather is beating me down.
How I satisfied that craving: New this year in the Revlon Nail Enamel Classic Collection is Rich; the glitter particles are small making it sparkle subtly. So it’s less preteen and more sophisticated.
How this nail polish makes me feel. Dub, rich. And gorgeous (and it reminded I have this little red book from Smythson to use!). The polish is actually very close to the Shellac Steel Gaze used in my shine-bright-like-a-diamond mani, except Rich has a touch more greeny-gold to it.
Love it or hate it: Love. I recently edited my nail polish collection and this earned a spot in my collection of 80 nail polishes. (Yes, 80).

Nail-job craving: Something sparkly — yes, because it’s the holidays, but I also am trying to make someone else in my household feel more comfortable (more on that tomorrow!).
How I satisfied that craving: At the Revlon preview I attended yesterday at Tips Nail Bar, with two base coats of Smoldering (an elegant iridescent silvery lavendery shade, with a glittery layer of Stunning overtop.
How this nail combo make me feel: The look feels pretty versatile, like it can be dressed up (for a chic soiree)–the sparkle is subtle enough for it–or down (for a hipster bar). Whenever I look at my nails (which is more often than is healthy!) I think of that prismatic silver ribbon, know which one I mean?
Love it or hate it: Love, as did at least two other peeps at the event (one editor tried the same look, and the other is planning on it for a party she’s attending on the weekend)… I like to think of myself as a muse (kidding!).
