What’s your number?

(Count to Ten print, The Nice Studio)

Stats from the Health Survey for England on how many sexual partners people have had–see how your number compares to those blokes and ladies in England:

  • 27 percent of men have 10 or more sexual partners in their lifetime
  • whereas 13 percent of women have hit the double digits
  • 25 percent of women and 33 percent of men between the ages of 16 and 24 had never had sex

(this all reminds me that I never got around to seeing “What’s Your Number?”, the movie based on Karyn Bosnak’s book 20 Times a Lady.)

For a healthy heart, have sex and exercise regularly

If you’re only having the occasional booty call, and exercising just as infrequently, this may in the short term increase your risk of heart attack.

That said, the risk, as discovered by an analysis of previous studies published in recent issue of JAMA, is small.

Still, an excellent reason to get busy in both ways on the regular.
