Why you want a physically fit doctor

If you’re earnest about staying in good health, having encouragement and direction to exercise from your doctor could be the extra nudge you need, and as such you may want to find a doc who’s physically fit. Turns out that doctors preach what they practice — research presented at the American College of Sports Medicine’s annual meeting shows that fit med students were more likely to to prescribe exercise in their future practice than non-fit students.

(the study did not, however, explore whether McDreamy-worthy good looks play a role at all in influencing their future prescriptions 🙂
