Quit your soda habit

If you love the fizzy bubbly as much as Zohan does, you have want to have a good look at what food you’re eating and make some improvements: Those who adore soda pop appear to also eat less healthy diets, according to findings published in Hypertension.

Need reasons to cut down on your soda habit? The study found that soda drinkers:

  • consume less calcium, magnesium and potassium
  • tend to have increased blood pressure
  • and if your high sugar consumption is paired with high salt consumption, you’re more likely to develop heart problems

Where’s the sizzle?

Bacon (along with other processed meats) are linked to a higher risk of heart disease and diabetes, according to a review conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health.

To help lay off my favourite strip of meat, do you think this Sizzling Bacon candle from Aunt Sadie’s will be satisfying enough to help me cut back on my consumption?

Probably not. But a bacon-scented candle? Totally awesome.
