You snooze, you lose

If you snooze more or less than six to eight hours when you’re in your late middle-age, you lose some of your cognitive abilities. A study published in Sleep found that this cognitive decline that can occur is equal to four to seven years of aging. For women, seven hours of sleep nightly resulted in the top cognitive scores in each test.
