Done all your Christmas shopping? Me neither! But I’m almost finished and without hitting the mall much; every year I do at least half of my holiday shopping online. That way I can avoid crowds and save myself from waiting in long lines; it’s so much better to just shop with a few clicks (and even easier when using my PayPal account instead of constantly entering my credit card info).
Online shopping is convenient, but just like when I’m in the mall, I’m guilty of buying one gift for a loved one…and then one for me. What can I say, I’m a shopper. So far, I’ve managed to treat myself to just one thing thus far: I stumbled upon the site SmartBuyGlasses.ca and caved and bought another pair of RayBan aviators I’ve been coveting. The prices are good, plus I received mine within a few days of placing my order. They’ve got tons of designer brands, so it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a new pair of sunnies (it’s important to protect your eyes from UV rays, even in the winter). Plus, I’m off to the Caribbean in January so that’s my excuse (erm, reason) for a new pair of sunglasses.
Oh, and if you’re last-minute shopping, for any glasses that say “fast shipping”, you’ll have them within three to five days, so there’s still time to order a pair or two before Christmas! They’ve got tons of designer brands (think Tom Ford, Celine, Gucci, and more) and if you need a little help with your shopping, they’ve got a Christmas Gift Guide with suggestions if you’re shopping for a hipster or trendsetter).
Only a week left to shop before Christmas, get it done, people!

Good news for you beauty addicts: Amazon.ca has added beauty and health stores to their site. Now, you can peruse more than 80,000 beauty and health products while you’re putting in your order for books or DVDs.
With a $100 Amazon gift card in my wallet (a gift from Amazon.ca — thanks!) I checked out the new shops…and while I planned on sticking to practical staples such as vitamin D and calcium supplements, I’m mighty tempted by all of the fantastic beauty brands in the store: Bobbi Brown, YSL, Dermalogica, Burt’s Bees, Aveda, Clarisonic, Shu Uemura, and too many more to name. These four items here are on my not-so-short list:
What’s on the top of your beauty and health shopping list?

The day is herrrrrrrre! Zara launches their Canadian e-commerce site today, whee!
I’m not typically an online shopper when it comes to clothes (I really like to see how pieces fit on me and to touch the fabrics) but having received an invite to shop Zara.com pre-launch, and being pretty familiar with how Zara’s clothing fits–I have a feeling I’ll be shopping online much more often now. Plus, there’s a new app, too, so shopping on your smartphone or tablet is even more streamlined.
Standard delivery is free for orders $50+ (or you can pick up your order in store for free delivery, too). Same return policy as shopping in person, that is 30 days for returns or exchanges. And yes, you can return or exchange items bought online in store (I personally much prefer that over mailing back items).
Lucky me, I was invited to shop the new site and my order should arrive today. I’ll anxiously be awaiting the courier! I’ll post my buys on Instagram (You can find me there @healthandswellness).
