Travel Swellness: Back from Bonaire

caftans and coffee in Bonaire

My long absence from the blog? I was away in Bonaire last week — an island in the Caribbean just east of Curacao. Part work, part vacation — but 100 percent wonderful. I’ll be writing about this lovely little island for a travel story that I’ll be sure to let you know about — for now, let’s just say I’m already plotting how to get myself there again within the next year.

Above, one of my two souvenirs from the trip (that’s me on the left) — a caftan I fell in love with in thst I found in one of the shops in Kralendijk (the main “downtown” area of Bonaire, which was  just a 20 minute walk from my resort, Harbour Village).
