Style Swellness: Preloved SS16 Collection

I remember discovering Preloved when I moved to the 6ix and love its’ concept as a sustainable fashion label (this way way before being eco-friendly was the norm). Julia Grieve, the founder and creative director of Preloved, combines reclaimed vintage fabrics with luxe new materials. Somehow in all my years here in Toronto, I have yet to own a piece from Preloved, until now.

The look as I knew it was often slightly more girly and quirky than what I’m usually drawn to, but the Preloved SS16 Collection has more than a few pieces that catch my eye. Take these River Pants in New Black that I’ve got on above. Kind of casual but edgy. I know that these are pants I’ll reach for again and again, whether if I’m just stepping out to grab a coffee with a pair of sneakers or with some  heels on out for drinks. The khaki fabric is vintage and the ribbed moto detailing on the knees is what immediately drew me to them (I like special details that make a garment stand out from the rest).

This Charka top is another I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of. It’s a cozy, loose fit sweater and and the soft knit drapes nicely, making it something I can throw on easily. Also, it’s lightweight and is a pleasing soft mix of blue and white, which I feel makes it a great transitional piece. I can wear it now when it’s still wintery with some leather pants, or grab it in the summer to wear over denim cutoffs for evenings it gets a little chillier out. (It’s also available in black  if you’re looking for it in a neutral).

Ready to add to your spring wardrobe? Well, I’ve got you covered, babes. Shop the Preloved SS16 Collection online now and use the discount code SWELLNESS40 when you checkout to get 40 percent off. Pretty sweet, right? This discount code is valid until February 24, 2016. Happy shopping!

(And let me know what you purchase, I love shopping vicariously!)
