Keep your eye on the prize

I’d been hemming and hawing about running my first marathon for awhile now (and likely would’ve run one in the fall, but work and travel got in the way). But I’m doing it. Yes m’aam. In fact, it’s one of my 2012 resolutions.

And one thing that’ll help me get through 16 long weeks of training? Keepin’ my eye on the prize — which in this case, may include making my Blue Crush dreams come true and going to surf camp.

(If you haven’t seen the movie, do — the way they shoot the waves is incredible, plus one of Kate’s “prizes” in the movie is a boy, who, fans of The Vampire Diaries may be interested to know, is played by the dude who’s  now Alaric on TVD).
