I was grudging and "let's-get-this-over-with" when I went for my first session -- now I'm pretty much addicted. It's helping me get into a healthier frame of mind -- plus, like you, I'm not so much a fan of the big sweaty! Thanks for the mention :-)

Ha ha, she has an illustration of the 50s contraption up in the space, actually. It reminded me of that, too. Yes, I do think I'll go back, which is sayin' a lot. I musta really liked it :) Hope you get a chance to try it out, too.

It's an interesting concept, always reminds me of those old machines from the 50s with the rubber belt around the butt. I'm also sometimes weary of machines that are so different to how our body normally functions. I wonder if it has any other effect like on the ligaments, etc??

Are you going to be going back for another session?

I didn't do anything that intense (I had asked Sarah to take it easy on me, though, as a newbie)! Hmm there goes my no-dripping sweat advantage of it, jump squats would most certainly be very sweat-inducing.

I tried the power plate workout in Montreal at the MAA. The trainer had me doing supersets combining power plate exercises with non-power plate exercises for example holding a squat on the powerplate for 45 seconds and following that up wtih 15 jump squats on the floor.
It was great and really different from any other workout I've tried (and I've tried alot)!
